Blåtind is the perfect bas for mountain hiking, with a wide variety of trails to choose between. The region can offer trips for everybody,and meets the needs both for those who prefers a relaxing family trip as well as for those who are seeking the big challenges.
In the autumn you will be able to find lots of wild berries and mushroom in the moutains.
The Stordal river is famous for fishing, and salmon from the Stordal river could easily end up as your own gourmet meal on Blåtind, or if you prefer - we can arrange for you to bring home your own special smoked salmon.
Hunting in the Stordal region
The large number of deer in Stordal has attracted many sportsmen from home and abroad in the hunt for the "tenderest steak of all". And the most active sportsmen combine mountain walding and small game shooting.
Tafjord is approx. 45 minutes' drive from Blåtind. Here you'll find an large outdoor swimming pool - a popular place for the whole family.
Geiranger is the crowing glory among Norway's fjord district's pearls of natural beauty. Majestic, snow-covered mountain peaks, beautiful and wild waterfalls, lush, green vegetation and the deep blue waters of the fjord - yes, it really is like something taken from a fairy tale. Take a fjord sightseeing trip and see it all!
Or follow the rinds that twist and turn steeply through one hair-pin bend after another up to Dalsnibba, Flydalsjuvet and Ørnesvingen. From here you will have a fantastic view of one of the most beautiful scenic panoramas anywhere in the world.
